how to induce autophagy
Autophagy slows the aging process

Autophagy means “Self-eating” “Self-cannibalism”. The process of autophagy is breaks down unused/damaged parts of your cells in order to recycle them in the creation of new cells, that help in repair and regeneration.

Autophagy has many anti-aging benefits because it helps destroy and reuse damaged components occurring in vacuoles (spaces) within cells.
Research shows that autophagy slows the aging process, fights inflammation, lower the risk of cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, cardiomyopathy, diabetes, liver disease and autoimmune diseases.

How to boost your autophagy

Autophagy is typically triggered by a cell’s starvation of nutrients. There are other ways to induce autophagy.

+ Intermittent Fasting (IF) 16/8 is found to trigger autophagy. (Fast 16 hours including sleeping time, eat 8 hours) Studies suggest that fasts between 24–48 hours probably have the strongest effects, but if you cannot do, then try to at least for 12 hours.
+ Exercise. Exercise puts stress on the body.Just moderate excercise at least 30 minutes at a time and total excercise 150-300 minutes per week.
+ Lower Carb Intake. Your carbs intake does not exceed 30 percent of your total daily caloric intake.
+ Sleep. Autophagy process occurs during sleep.  Less sleep alters autophagy.
+ Turmeric, ginger, coffee, green tea, nitacimide (vitamin B3) and coconut oil have been shown to induce autophagy.
